Step into the mesmerising world of glass art with this engaging six-week introductory course. Designed for beginners, this course teaches you essential skills for working with glass, including cutting, layering, and fusing techniques. Using materials like tekta, mica, stringers, and frit, alongside specialist tools such as glassline pens and paints, you’ll create a variety of pieces, including test tiles to explore texture and colour, coasters, and tack-fused night lights. As you progress, you’ll develop a unique final piece that showcases your newfound skills and artistic vision. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of glass as a medium, from its properties to safe handling practices. This course is an excellent way to discover the possibilities of glassmaking and prepares you to advance onto more complex projects. All tools and materials are provided.
