We are delighted to release the latest instalment of our creative courses for County Durham residents. Our courses have been designed to develop creativity, improve wellbeing, advance functional skills and provide people with an opportunity to take part in a range of highly sought-after courses including home fragrances, batik, ceramics and fused glass.

Batik is an ancient Indonesian art form using fabrics, waxes and rich coloured dyes to create beautiful fabric art works. Come and learn how to create your own stunning designs and motifs, then transfer them to fabric and begin this ancient process. You will use hot waxes, dyes and resist techniques to create bright, colourful works of fabric art to be proud of. On the course you can choose whether you'd like to make a fabric wall hanging, handmade cushion covers or your own bespoke piece. Let your creative flair…
