Free Ceramics Workshop 03/03/26 9:30am-12:30pm

Thanks to funding from Sunderland City Council’s Coalfield Area Committee, we are delighted to offer a free ceramic workshop designed to bring people together through creativity, conversation and hands-on making. This support allows us to provide a welcoming, relaxed space where local people can try something new, build confidence and connect with others in their community at no cost.

During the session, you will roll up your sleeves and get stuck into working with clay, guided by an experienced facilitator who will support you every step of the way. You will learn how to prepare and shape clay before exploring simple hand-building techniques such as pinch pots and coiling. From there, you will design and create your own functional ceramic piece, perhaps a mug, bowl or decorative tile, adding texture, patterns and personal touches that make it completely unique.
