About the event

With special thanks to funding from Sunderland City Council's SIB Board we are delighted to bring you this fun and educational programme of activities for children in Sunderland.

Inspire your child’s creativity this February half term, by securing their place on one of our fun-filled and engaging nature inspired arts and crafts workshops. Children will have the opportunity to explore their artistic flair by taking part in one of our free arts and crafts workshops, where they can make incredible craft items including ceramic bird houses, lollipop stick bird feeders and bird feeds, using a mix of natural ingredients. Children will be able to take their items home with them at the end of each session, or collect them once they have been fired in our kilns, where they can be proudly displayed in the garden and attract various species of birds.

Children will also be provided with a healthy and nutritious snack and drinks throughout the workshops, as well as learning about the importance and benefits of healthy eating.

These fun and engaging activities will take place at The Old Rectory in Houghton-le-Spring, ensuring children will have the opportunity to engage with the arts and enabling them to explore their creative talents.
